Plot Synopsis

Executive produced by Gina Rodriguez and created by Ilana Pena, DIARY OF A FUTURE PRESIDENT is a half-hour comedy series that centers on young Elena, an unabashed, ultra-observant 12-year-old Cuban American girl with a strong point of view, who walks through the world with purpose and confidence. Told using the narration of Elena's diary, this family comedy follows her journey through the ups and downs of middle school, which set her on the path to becoming the president of the United States. She's joined by: Bobby, her sweet and mischievous older brother; Gabi, Elena and Bobby's sharp and loving mom; and Sam, a lawyer at Gabi's firm who is in the beginnings of a relationship with her. Rodriguez directed the first episode and guest stars as grown-up Elena. Disney+ released the first episode of DIARY OF A FUTURE PRESIDENT on Friday, January 17, 2020, with additional episodes scheduled to debut on subsequent Fridays through March 20.
