Plot Synopsis

Playing a fictionalized version of himself in this short-form comedy series, Kevin Hart is on a death-defying quest to become an action star. And with a little help from John Travolta, Nathalie Emmanuel, and Josh Hartnett...he just might pull it off. The story opens with Hart needing to get schooled on how to be an action hero at Ron Wilcox's Action Star School, where he learns from his mentor, Coach Ron Wilcox, and meets Jordan King, a classmate who is there to kick some ass. On Monday, July 20, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Quibi released the first three episodes of the 10-episode first season. New episodes debuted each weekday.

On Friday, March 31, 2023, Roku released the entire eight-episode second season of the series, titled DIE HART 2: DIE HARTER. In Season 2, Kevin is hellbent on proving that he's ready to be the greatest action star of all time. But his vision comes with a blind spot -- and he becomes the victim of a revenge plot. To survive, Hart needs the help of his fave co-star Jordan King, his assistant Andre, Andre's mom Cynthia, and Hollywood stuntman Mr. 206.

In Season 3, Kevin Hart is done with the action. What he really wants is critical success. Kevin enlists Oscar-winner Jillian Jones to introduce him to prestigious filmmaker Jackson Pepper. At dinner, Pepper doubts Kevin's commitment as an actor but entices him with the opportunity of an exciting part: the role of a fugitive on the run.
