Plot Synopsis

DINOTRUX is an animated children's series that follows the adventures of two unlikely best friends as they navigate the adrenaline-filled mechanical domain ruled by stunning oversize creatures like Tyrannosaurus Trux, Scraptors and Tow-a-constrictors. The show's heroes are Ty, a massive and fiercely loyal T-Trux -- a Tyranosaurus Rex combined with a megaton excavator -- with a big vision for a new world, and his Reptool best buddy Revvit, a razor-smart Rotilian -- a lizard crossed with a rotary drill -- who is the engineering brains of the operation. Together they build a world populated by groups of Dinotrux and Reptools, each with their own personality and skill set as they unite to defend their community from the biggest and baddest of them all, D-Strux -- a giant T-Trux with a wrecking ball tail that evolves as he tries out more intimidating upgrades and attachments with which to harass our heroes -- as he threatens to destroy everything they've built. The tough and sassy Skya, a brachiosaurus combined with a crane, helps her pals reach new heights with her retractable cable and sky-high stature. Garby, the gregarious Stegarbasaurus, is a stegosaurus crossed with a garbage truck whose internal mashers and compressors digest and turn the rock he eats into strong bricks that the others use to fabricate fantastic creations. The loyal, thrill-seeking Ton Ton, an ankylosaurus combined with a dump truck, uses his loose suspension and sturdy bed with strong hydraulics to outrun predators and try crazy stunts. The hot-tempered but kind Dozer, a triceratops crossed with a bulldozer, sports a jackhammer tail and heavy blade that he uses for intimidation or affection, depending on his mood. Netflix released the six-episode fifth season of DINOTRUX on Friday, August 18, 2017 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT. From the sea to the desert, the brave and generous Dinotrux travel far and wide to meet new friends and enemies, including the fearsome Dreadtrux in Season 5. In the season opener, "Imposters," Ty has trouble keeping all of the new Trux organized and cooperative, and D-Structs comes up with a plan that throws the crater into even more chaos.
