Plot Synopsis

DR. DEATH: THE UNDOCTORED STORY is a four-part docuseries that chronicles two doctors' attempts to stop Dr. Christopher Duntsch, a seemingly brilliant, charming and ambitious neurosurgeon who aimed his scalpel at the citizens of Texas and left many patients maimed, paralyzed or dead. Duntsch's story inspired DR. DEATH, the Peacock drama series that dropped two weeks before THE UNDOCTORED STORY. This docuseries features new conversations with others closest to Duntsch and his criminal case including Jerry Summers, Duntsch's best friend who he paralyzed following two surgeries; Wendy Young, the ex-girlfriend of Duntsch and mother to his two sons; Dr. Joy Gathe-Ghermay, the anesthesiologist during Jerry Summer's horrific surgery; Dr. Mark Hoyle, a Texas surgeon who physically tried to stop Duntsch during a surgery; Tex Muse and Pamela Trusty, two of Duntsch's victims; and lawyers from the trial. All four episodes of DR. DEATH: THE UNDOCTORED STORY dropped on Thursday, July 29, 2021 on Peacock.

DR. DEATH: THE UNDOCTORED STORY made its linear television debut on Monday, September 6, 2021 from 7-11pm ET/PT, as Oxygen debuted all four episodes back to back.
