Plot Synopsis

Created and executive produced by Jeremiah Cortez, DOGS IN SPACE is an animated sci-fi comedy series that takes place in the not-too-distant future, when desperate scientists send genetically enhanced dogs across the universe in search of a new home for the human race. Once the dogs enter space and encounter a planet, Garbage can't help but disobey after an alien negotiation goes sideways. Yet the next planet looks so promising. Once on the planet, Garbage and the crew try to save an angry, capable canine who's gone feral. But who will rescue the rescuers with the Pluto gone? It's a giant cosmic game of fetch, as the canines seek a planet that will save humanity and -- more importantly -- let them return to their beloved owners. The entire 10-episode first season of DOGS IN SPACE dropped on Thursday, November 18, 2021 on Netflix.
DOGS IN SPACE returned for its second season on Thursday, September 15, 2022, as Netflix released all 10 episodes of the new season. Hostile aliens. Space pirates. And... Garbage in disguise? There's a new dog in charge as the Pluto crew takes on outlandish missions great and small. In the season opener, "Galactic Tactics," Captain Stella makes her first big call by choosing a new tactical officer. But when the crew embarks on its next mission, there's a stowaway on board.
