Plot Synopsis

DOGS OF WAR is a one-hour reality series that follows Jim and Lindsey Stanek, a married couple who started a nonprofit organization called Paws and Stripes, which pairs post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) veterans with shelter dogs trained to help them adjust to life after combat. In each 60-minute episode, one war veteran is matched with a dog adopted from a shelter that has been trained in rehabilitation. Together they take an emotional journey out of darkness, through rigorous training and emotional support, so the veteran can integrate back into normal life. Before they were matched, the veteran was condemned to a life of isolation, and an abandoned dog was condemned to a shelter. Now, they come together to rescue each other.
