Plot Synopsis

Leonardo da Vinci was one of the greatest minds in history. He was part artist, scientist, engineer, inventor, mathematician, musician, and writer. And he was definitely a futurist. da Vinci designed military weapons that have never been constructed. After 500 years! Until now, that is. "Doing da Vinci" is doing the improbable -- putting together a four-person team with an historian to build what da Vinci envisioned a half century ago. Watch as they attempt to construct an armored tank, a towering three-story siege ladder, a scythe chariot, a machine gun, a self-propelled cart, a catapult, or whatever else they find intriguing. "Doing da Vinci" will answer the ultimate question: Do these designs show that da Vinci was beyond his time or out of his mind?
