Plot Synopsis

DONNY! is a half-hour series that centers on the hyper-imagined real-life of Donny Deutsch, similar to what CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM does for Larry David. In DONNY!, Deutsch hosts his own daytime talk show, "donny!" On camera, he has the answers to everything and makes his viewers swoon, but off-camera he's a filterless rogue who lives in entertaining contrast to almost everything he espouses publicly. Each episode finds him holding court as an expert on various issues (e.g., sexting, cellulite) on his show, yet reveals his personal struggle with similar subjects, especially when it comes to his ever-changing romantic partners or the drama of being a single dad to Coco and Jagger. Despite a team of funny women who work tirelessly to cover his tracks -- while busting his chops along the way -- Donny finds a way to make bad decisions with good intentions. It turns out being rich and famous doesn't help much in the face of the strange, hilarious and messy situations Donny gets himself into. Donny's team includes: Pam, the no-nonsense executive producer, who was once an aspiring journalist but now spends her days trying to bring in ratings with show topics that seem to get more outlandish by the day; Jackie, his number one assistant, who is in charge of managing his finances, art, TV appearances, and more often than not, his ego; Zoe, his second assistant, who is a slacker charged with handling his social obligations and social media; and Violet, his newest assistant, who is perpetually eager to please, smiling through each menial task and insult thrown her way.

On Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 10:30pm ET/PT, USA Network premiered the season finale of DONNY!. In the season ender, "Boom Boom Abs!," Donny makes a racially insensitive comment on his show, so he tries to right the wrong by creating his own race initiative...to disastrous results.
