Plot Synopsis

DOUBLING DOWN WITH THE DERRICOS is a one-hour reality series that follows Karen and Deon Derrico, who always wanted a large family -- but never in their wildest dreams expected to be quite so blessed (though multiples are prevalent on both sides of their family)! Karen and Deon use open and honest dialogue when parenting their kids with a modern take and give viewers an unfiltered look into their bustling, sweet and growing family in a series that is all heart. Sleepless nights, sibling squabbles and a living room full of toe-tripping toys is the norm for any family with kids. Magnify that by 11 with triplets on the way and you have the Derricos, who celebrate life and embrace its hurdles and drama with open arms every day.

The sophomore season of DOUBLING DOWN WITH THE DERRICOS premiered on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at 10pm ET/PT on TLC. In Season 2, the larger-than-life Derricos face unforeseen challenges that catapult them into the most challenging year of their lives. Shaken to their core, Karen and Deon receive unsettling news that three-year-old Diez will potentially require surgery on his skull. Meanwhile, singleton Darian continues her quest for independence, but Deon is as protective as ever, especially when she announces she wants to begin dating. Adding to Deon's protectiveness, Karen considers that he might have OCD, and when she announces she thinks she might be pregnant, GG has an emotional conversation with the both of them. The Derricos always have a way of finding balance with life's highs and lows and, this season they take a trip to the mountains, where the kids get to see snow for the first time and, for Halloween, they celebrate with a fun, 70s-themed dance party.

Season 3 of DOUBLING DOWN WITH THE DERRICOS premiered on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at 10pm ET/PT on TLC. With the kids getting older, parents Deon and Karen are facing a whole new set of challenges, including a 15-year-old's quest for independence and a driver's license, 11-year-old and 10-year-old twins developing their first crushes, four-year-old triplets starting preschool, plus potty training, a trip to Disney, new health issues and more. In the midst of all the regular chaos of raising children, the Derricos are also on the brink of a big decision: moving cross-country to South Carolina to be closer to Karen's extended family and her Southern roots. No matter what lies ahead, the Derricos will face it together, doubling down on all the love and fun it takes to raise this unique family. In the season opener, "Poppy, You're Past Your Prime," it's all about family fun for the Derricos -- from going vegan for GG to hitting the roller rink so Deon can relive his glory days. With a potential move looming, everyone is not on board; a health crisis may bring everything crashing down.

On Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at 10pm ET/PT on TLC, DOUBLING DOWN WITH THE DERRICOS returned for its fourth season. Navigating life with 14 kids, including four sets of naturally conceived multiples, is never easy. But with the kids getting older and the house getting smaller, Karen and Deon are faced with more challenges than ever before. House hunting for a home for 16 isn't easy, and the overcrowding at the current Derrico household is causing Deon's OCD to go through the roof. Darian's quest for teenage independence leads her to seek out her first job. Deon takes on the task of teaching the triplets how to ride a bike. Karen starts a clothing line, and Deon goes on a diet. GG's health battle continues as she faces her cancer head on - along with the online dating world. When a long-lost relative reaches out, claiming to be GG's grandson and Deon's nephew, the Derricos head to Deon's hometown of Detroit, in search of the truth. No matter what lies ahead, the Derricos will face it together, doubling down on all the love and fun it takes to raise this unique family.

On Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at 10pm ET/PT, TLC premiered "We Are Family," the Season 4 finale of DOUBLING DOWN WITH THE DERRICOS. The Derricos deal with multiple issues as they prep for Thanksgiving; GG anxiously awaits her final scan results to find out if the tumor is gone; Darian steps out of her comfort zone when she takes dance lessons with an old friend.
