Plot Synopsis

Directed by live-action director Kentaro Hagiwara and animation director Takashi Otsuka, DRAGONS OF WONDERHATCH is a live-action/anime hybrid series that follows two misfits -- Nagi and Thaim -- who set off on an epic adventure when the floating islands of Upananta slowly beginning to fall from the sky. Nagi doesn't feel she fits in with her surroundings; she lives in the real world and can visualize colors whenever she hears sounds. Dreaming of one day being able to fly, Nagi will soon come face to face with Thaim, another misfit from a different world. Born in Upananta, Thaim has long been treated like an outcast for his inability to hear the voices of the dragons that inhabit his land. DRAGONS OF WONDERHATCH debuted on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 with two episodes on Disney+ and Hulu. Episodes 3 and 4 dropped a week later on Wednesday, December 27, with the fifth installment debuting on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 on both streaming services. Episodes 6, 7 and 8 then premiered on the subsequent Wednesday, with one installment each day through January 24.

On Wednesday, January 24, 2024, Disney+ and Hulu released "Door to the World," the season finale of DRAGONS OF WONDERHATCH. Aktha and Supes's dragons go on a deadly rampage under Pytonpyt's control. Thaim and Aktha must travel to Ancient KOTOWARI and uncover its hidden truth in order to stop Pytonpyt's invasion.
