Plot Synopsis

Jane Bingum is a brilliant plus-size lawyer who's often overshadowed by her slimmer colleagues. Deb Dobkins is a shallow model-in-training who's used to being the center of attention. On one fateful day, both women die -- Jane is shot by a jilted husband and Deb is killed in a car crash. While Deb is waiting outside the pearly gates, the gatekeeper decides she isn't worthy and sends her back to Earth for a second chance. Inside the wrong body. Now that Deb is in Jane's body, both personalities must coexist and Deb must learn to live in a world where she can't rely on her external beauty. Season 4 begins with Jane and Owen enjoying a Roman Holiday in Italy, while back at home The Firm is on shaky ground under Kim's leadership. Teri is dispatched to bring Jane home to take on a lucrative murder case while Grayson comes to terms with his new feelings for Jane. Meanwhile, following the devastating news of Grayson and Stacy kissing in the Season 3 finale, Fred moves on with a new girlfriend, leading Stacy to turn to famed relationship guru. Notable guest stars for Season 4 included Kim Kardashian, Serena Williams, John Ratzenberger, Patty Duke, Megyn Price, Emily Rutherford and Jake T. Austin, among many others. On Sunday, June 23, 2013 at 9pm ET/PT, debuted a new season of DROP DEAD DIVA, with Season 5 featuring these guest stars: Sandra Bernhard, John Ratzenberger, Brigid Brannagh and Reiko Aylesworth. Plus, in Season 5, Jane gets her third guardian angel, Paul. On Sunday, October 6, 2013, DROP DEAD DIVA returned for the final five episodes of Season 5, airing on Sundays at 9pm ET/PT on Lifetime through November 3, 2013. In the first of these five episodes, a series of unfortunate legal events jeopardized the existence of Harrison & Parker and Grayson defended a man who was thrown off a flight because he claimed to be a vampire. These five episodes featured guest stars like Illeana Douglas, Peri Gilpin, Richard Kind, Jaleel White, Doug Savant, Sharon Lawrence, Nancy Grace, and Rebecca Mader. DROP DEAD DIVA returns for its sixth and final season with a two-hour event on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT on Lifetime. The new season featured guest stars Rick Springfield, S. Epatha Merkerson, John Ratzenberger, Corbin Bleu, Colin Egglesfield, Virginia Williams and Jay DeMarcus of Rascal Flatts. At the close of the previous season, Jane thought she would finally have her happy ending with Grayson, until Brittany (Old Jane) revealed to Grayson that Jane isn't who he thinks she is. In the season six premiere, Jane is forced to finally tell the truth to Grayson, but his reaction leaves her more lost than ever. Meanwhile Owen gets a visit from his estranged brother, Charlie, that puts his personal life and the firm at risk. As Jane buries herself in work once again to hide from the problems in her life, she discovers her new pro bono case has high stakes with the U.S. government. With Kim on maternity leave, a new lawyer, Belinda joins the firm and gives Jane a run for her money.

Lifetime aired the series finale of DROP DEAD DIVA on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT. In the series ender, "It Had to Be You," Owen and Kim try to talk to Jane about her relationship with Ian, while Teri realizes that Ian is responsible for ruining her chances at stardom. Plus, Owen and Jane find themselves on opposite ends of a case.
