Plot Synopsis

As told by the men and women directly involved in the cases themselves -- the cops, crooks, and closest associates on either side of the law -- DRUG LORDS is a one-hour series that true stories behind the rise, reign, and fall of the world's most infamous drug lords. Each 60-minute episode takes an intimate look at a different ruthless criminal across the world, bringing their stories to life with unprecedented access and dramatic re-creations of the key events. On Friday, January 19, 2018 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released the first four episodes of the eight-episode series. Drug kingpins featured in this first four episodes include:

Pablo Escobar: Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar leads a horrific war against his own country until a team of politicians and police end his reign of terror.

The Cali Cartel: Gilberto and Miguel Rodriguez Orejuela use violence and guile to turn the Cali Cartel into a $7 billion-per-year criminal operation.

The four-episode second season of DRUG LORDS premiered on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Netflix released the remaining episodes of this series, featuring these drug kingpins:
