Plot Synopsis

Culinary adventurer Eden Grinshpan has a simple mission: to eat her way around the world without ever leaving America. In each 60-minute episode, Grinshpan lands in new city -- Nashville, Tampa, Phoenix, Honolulu and more -- and has only 24 hours to experience that city's global culinary scene, discover its authentic recipes and hear incredible stories from the locals. In this series Grinshpan visits: Nashville, where she kicks off her tour with traditional Thai salad and some exercise, followed by a stop at a Somalian restaurant, some Bosnian cuisine, a late night drink at an Irish pub, followed by an early morning baking session at a Kurdish Halal market; Tampa, where she begins her visit here at a roti shop where she learns about traditional Trinidadian food, makes feijoada with a Brazilian family, bakes apple strudel with a German baker, creates dinner at a Greek restaurant, picks up some fried pork and tries her hand at Cuban cigar rolling, and samples some late-night Colombian food; Phoenix, where she learns how to make chats, a refreshing Indian snack food, visits a large Indian festival street festival, makes pierogies with a Polish baker, kabobs with a Lebanese butchering family, helps Bosnian bakers make breakfast all before the sun rises, uncovers a touching story of survival while taking in an authentic Cambodian meal, and finishes at a Native American reservation making chili; San Diego, where she stops at a Laotian cafe, heads to a Norwegian Supper Club, grabs a Turkish coffee and pastry, enjoys a late-night snack at a Filipino cafe followed by an early morning visit to a Mexican sweetshop and a trip to a South African Deli to make some traditional bunny chow; Salt Lake City, where she starts with authentic fish and chips, samples authentic Mexican beans, heads to a restaurant that specializes in cuisine from both Kenya and Pakistan, explores authentic Tibetan dishes, followed by a late night stop at an Argentinean bakery and a learn about a hot sauce recipe from the Congo; Baltimore, where she stops for lunch at a Kenyan restaurant, makes dinner with two Ukrainian sisters, samples some Newari specialties at a Nepalese restaurant; grabs a late-night Lithuania snack and dancing, heads to a Bavarian chocolatier, and learns how to make some rejuvenating Nigerian bitterleaf soup; Charlotte, where she makes pickle sandwiches and bubble tea at a Taiwanese market, eats dinner at a Jamaican restaurant, makes traditional Paisano bread at a Serbian bakery, learns to make Venezuelan arepas, enjoys a spicy traditional Korean breakfast, and savors Bombay sandwiches from India -- with a little Bollywood dancing; and many more cities that offer culturally diverse culinary adventures in the United States.
