Plot Synopsis

In each half-hour episode of THE EINSTEIN CHALLENGE, host Buzzy Cohen welcomes two world-class experts in science, history and engineering, who compete to see who can best explain complicated concepts to kids. These experts break down the world's biggest questions in a way anyone can understand -- such as how does an airplane fly or how bad was the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius. Executive produced by Peyton Manning, THE EINSTEIN CHALLENGE debuted on Sunday, June 2, 2024 with four back-to-back episodes from 7-9am ET/PT on History Channel:

"Amazing Feats of Flight" (Sunday, June 2, 2024 at 7am): Two aeronautical experts from NASA face-off to explain everything from how a plane takes off to how does a stealth bomber make itself invisible. (Experts: Amado DeHoyas, Test Engineering Manager, NASA/SpaceX and Ed Miller, Space Systems Engineer, NASA/JPL)

"The Daredevil Made Me Do It" (Sunday, June 2, 2024 at 7:30am): Two physicists explain thermodynamics and extreme altitude by tackling questions like "How does a parachute work?" and "Why is diving to the ocean's greatest depths dangerous for humans?" (Experts: Physicist Dr. Michael Dennin and Physicist/Mathematician Sarafina Lentricchia)

"Ancient Weapons" (Sunday, June 2, 2024 at 8am): Two historical weapons experts explain ancient warfare by demonstrating the use of the weapons like the trebuchet, hwacha, and Greek fire. (Experts: Civil War historian Mike Riley and Medieval weapons expert Mark Sanders)

"Mega Disasters" (Sunday, June 2, 2024 at 8:30am): Experts in environment studies explain the great garbage patch, the sinking of the Titanic, and the causes of an avalanche among other natural and man-made disasters. (Experts: Environment Studies Professors Dr. Josh Fisher, UC Berkeley and Dr. Victoria Petryshyn, USC)

Four new episodes debut each Sunday morning from 7-9am.
