Plot Synopsis

Hosted by blogger fashionistas Lynn Dell Cohen, Joyce Carpati, and Rita Ellis Hammer, ELDER SKELTER tells shocking stories of senior citizens who committed crimes. Using recreations, expert commentary from local authorities and true-crime experts, and first-person accounts from friends and family of the victims, this one-hour series chronicles how these seniors spent most of their lives as model citizens and loving family members, but committed crimes that sent them to prison for the rest of their retirement. Each 60-minute episode features two stories, including those of: Dave and Carol Evans, married and divorced three times, who are headed for trouble again when Dave, at the age of 70-something, can't give up money and women; 80-year-old Lena Sims Driskell, who met an 85-year old playboy at the senior assisted living center in Atlanta, but her dream may turn into a nightmare; 59 year-old Robert Farley moves back in with his parents, including his father Walter, an 85 year-old WWII Naval veteran, and one of them will resort to murder; Ken McDavid, who landed a TV movie starring Loni Anderson and Arnold Schwarzenegger, has since fallen on hard times and is helped by two women -- with a cost; 66-year-old David Myers has a perfect home and a loving women, Susie Modlin, but financial troubles cause his marriage to unravel, leading to a double homicide; Steven Watkins marries Jennifer Webster, but when their relationship sours her Seventh Day Adventist family -- specifically her grandma, Shirley Skinner -- offers a solution to her problem; and many more people in the golden years committing crimes.
