Plot Synopsis

ELEPHANT HOSPITAL is a docuseries that chronicles life at Thailand's largest elephant hospital, which cares for over 100 sick, injured or neglected animals each year in Lampang, Northern Thailand. With access to the daily challenges faced by the vets and volunteers on site, this series documents the day-to-day workings of a hospital that treats supersized patients for medical ailments ranging from deadly viruses to cuts and parasites. The facility also teaches baby elephants new commands and even turns elephant poo into fertilizer. ELEPHANT HOSPITAL had its U.S. premiere with two episodes on Monday, January 4, 2021 on discovery+, the same day the streaming service launched.
