Plot Synopsis

ELIZABETH SMART: AUTOBIOGRAPHY is a two-part special during which Elizabeth Smart explains her story in her own words, providing previously untold details about her infamous childhood abduction and nine-month nightmare in the grasps of her cruel captors. Now 29 years old, she shares the perspective she gained through the ordeal and how she has moved past it to focus on marriage, motherhood, and advocating for others. Smart's family -- along with law enforcement involved with the investigation and eyewitnesses -- reveal new information about the case and reflect on her remarkable recovery and perseverance. Marking the 15th anniversary of Smart's harrowing abduction, A&E premieres this BIOGRAPHY special in two 90-minute installments on at 9pm ET/PT on consecutive nights: Sunday, November 12 and Monday, November 13, 2017. Then, the following week, the Lifetime Original Movie I AM ELIZABETH SMART premieres on Saturday, November 18 at 8pm ET/PT on Lifetime and a one-hour special, "Elizabeth Smart: Questions Answered," debuts on Monday, November 20 at 10pm. In this special, Dre. Drew Pinsky guides the discussion about Elizabeth's methods of surviving the ordeal, a she answers questions from viewers about her nine months in captivity, journey to recovery, and advocacy for victims today.
