Plot Synopsis

Amusement park expert Chris Perry, who managed a top amusement park in Dubai for over 15 years, reveals the industry's secrets for success. Pulling back the curtain, Perry provides an exclusive look at how the mechanics of amusement parks and rides really work -- at Ohio's Cedar Point, Dubai's Aquaventure Waterpark, Germany's Europa Park and Tampa, Florida's Busch Gardens, to name a few. Each episode of EPIC ATTRACTIONS offers not only a backstage pass to some of the world's greatest attractions, but also an inside scoop on the science and engineering that make up one of the biggest industries on the planet. This series opens with one-hour special episode, as Chris shows just what it takes to build a record-setting roller coaster from the ground up by heading to Carowinds in Charlotte, North Carolina, where they plan to take their park to the next level with Fury 325, the world's tallest and fastest gigacoaster -- a roller coaster that is between 300 and 399 feet. Then, in each of the six half-hour additional episodes, Chris explores four or five different attractions, like: riding Thorpe Park's The Swarm, flyboarding 30 feet above water, going down Wild Wadi's double-speed waterslide, eating at Europa-Park's Food Loop and swimming with Ski Dubai's colony of penguins; climbing 310 feet to ride the giant Millennium Force in Cedar Point, blobbing at Austria's Area 47, diving in Atlantis at The Palms' Ambassador Lagoon and becoming a game expert at Morey's Piers; riding Cedar Point's wooden monster Mean Streak, looping around the Scorpion's Tail waterslide at Noah's Ark, flowboarding Yas Waterworld's Bubbles Barrel, getting high at The London Eye and eating a Bacon Pretzel Fury; riding the world's fastest coaster, the 150 mph Formula Rossa, wrestling nasty reptiles in Gatorland, going backstage & tackling the new Tower of Poseidon waterslide, and eating "Breakfast in the Sky; racing cheetahs at Busch Gardens, aiming water cannons at Yas Waterworld's Bandit Bomber, having a Halloweekend at Cedar Point, seeing Europa-Park's Arthur the Ride and jetting up Wild Wadi's Master Blasters; and darting down the three stand-up slides of Ihu's Breakaway Falls, riding Germany's lightning fast Blue Fire, snowboarding at Ski Dubai, getting pampered in a 7-star hotel and having his feet sucked on at Fisho.
