Directed by Barbara Shearer, EPSTEIN'S SHADOW: GHISLAINE MAXWELL is a three-part documentary series that investigates British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell, known for her association with financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, as she awaits trial on multiple sex trafficking charges. The series explores the powerful, connected, and mysterious Ghislaine Maxwell, who was once the heiress to the Maxwell fortune but whose life takes a sordid downturn when she meets Jeffrey Epstein, the serial sex offender. This investigative series will reveal a complicated story of power, sex, and money, which leads to Ghislaine Maxwell's arrest awaiting trial in November 2021. The three-parter includes dozens of candid and powerful exclusive interviews, rare and previously unseen tapes of the Maxwell family including exclusive footage of Ghislaine and her father Robert, interview footage of Ghislaine in the aftermath of her father's death, and previously unpublished photos. The entire three-episode series dropped on Thursday, June 24, 2021 on Peacock. Seven weeks later, EPSTEIN'S SHADOW: GHISLAINE MAXWELL made its linear television debut on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 on Oxygen, as the cable channel debuted all three installments back-to-back from 8-11:35pm ET/PT.
