Plot Synopsis
In each one-hour episode, four pairs of players compete against each other, as they vie for the $10,000 weekly prize by escaping a series of four mind-bending rooms, solving rapid-fire brain games, and navigating terrifyingly entertaining puzzles. Hosted by Curt Doussett, EXIT is based on DERO!, the hit Japanese TV series on the Nippon Television Network. EXIT contestants must navigate these rooms:
- Plank Room: Teams stand on planks jutting from a wall, but a team's plank retracts for each wrong answer -- until one team falls.
- Water Room: Contestants are trapped in a glass room quickly filling with water, but they can turn off one valve for each correct answer.
- Time Bomb Room: Contestants must correctly answer questions before their room is blown to smithereens by a ticking time bomb.
- Shredder Room: Contestants must kneel and solve puzzles in a low-ceiling room, as a giant shredder at one end of the room closes in.
- Ceiling Room: Contestants must answer questions correctly before the dropping ceiling crushes them.
- Quicksand Room: Players are trapped in a room filled with quicksand, and each wrong answer means they sink deeper.
- Wall Room: With walls slowly closing in, each team member, while locked to a wall, must correctly answer three questions to survive.
