Plot Synopsis

An engaged couple -- filmmaker Tim Noonan and fiance PJ Madam -- travel the world for a year to explore marriage customs in diverse cultures. Will the journey bring them closer or tear them apart? Their trek around the world begins in Cameroon, where a tribe claims to have the world's happiest marriages. While there, PJ undergoes a ritual possession, and Tim builds a love shack and gets sick. Then Indonesia's Sasak people show Tim how to fight like a love warrior. PJ publicly praises his machismo but privately rolls her eyes. Next, in a Papua New Guinea village, Tim and PJ undergo fertility rituals that include sacrificing a pig and locating an egg that could reveal their future.
