Plot Synopsis

Hosted by Jesse Tyler Ferguson, this reboot of EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION follows three new designers -- Breegan Jane, Carrie Locklyn and Darren Keefe -- in addition to the team and thousands of volunteers, as they complete stunning home overhauls for deserving families. The whole-home overhauls include interior, exterior and landscaping -- all completed within seven days while the family is sent away for the week. Throughout the first season, featured guests include Anthony Anderson, Derek Hough, Ty Pennington, Laila Ali, Tyler Florence and HGTV home reno experts David Bromstad, Tamara Day, Tarek El Moussa and Jasmine Roth.

In the season opener, "All in the Mosley Family," a single mom with two kids of her own is forced to move her family into her mom's cramped place after welcoming three teens deemed "unadoptable" into her home. Jesse Tyler Ferguson and the team give them a fresh start in a new house with tons of space.
