Plot Synopsis

Novelist Marcus Sakey plays the game "Two Truths and a Lie," as he tries to fake out viewers by telling three unbelievable tales about a single city. Only two of his three stories are true, and viewers must decide which tale is fiction. Each 30-minute episode of FAKED OUT features one city, including: Miami, for which Sakey tells tales about an archeologist unearthing the ruins of an ancient civilization at a downtown construction site, a SWAT team infiltrating the mansion of philanthropist -- and drug lord -- Daniel Walker, and women who gather for at-home cosmetic surgery procedures; and Savannah, as Sakey relays stories about a locally made substance known as "B&G" that is so addictive that police can barely keep up with arrests, a nuke that goes missing just 10 miles offshore, and two high-school lovers caught in a lethal family feud who ditch prom to spend time together in Savannah's Bonaventure Cemetery. On Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 10pm ET, Travel Channel aired back-to-back episodes of this series, but at the time the network had no other episodes on its schedule for the subsequent three weeks.
