Plot Synopsis

FAMOUS IN 12 is a one-hour reality series that follows one family -- the Artiaga family from Beaumont, CA -- as each person pursues fame and celebrity by working around the clock for 12 weeks with the help of TMZ. The family is guided by the TMZ machine, which creates a series of opportunities for them. TMZ and Harvey Levin -- and additional experts brought in throughout the course of the series -- provide input and guidance on the path to fame, but it is up to the family to pull it off. Family members must utilize all forms of social media to wage a "fame campaign," and they are constantly tracked via Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, as they build their social media profiles. This information will be analyzed by the show's "Star Power Meter" each week to determine the real-time standing of the individual family members, enabling the audience and family members to interact directly, affecting story and cast behavior week to week. The Artiagas include: Dad Mike Sr., who wants to become a DJ; Mom Angie, who writes erotica; 26-year-old Taliah, the eldest daughter, who wants to dance and is mother to seven-year-old Jordan; 22-year-old Jameelah, her younger sister, who wants to be a model; 16-year-old Maariyah, who has dreams of becoming an international pop star; 15-year-old Mike Jr., who dreams of becoming a pastry chef but also wants to be a model and clothing designer; 12-year-old Jameelah, who wants to be a model; six-year-old Dove, who is the little darling of the family; and Grandpa Joel and Grandma Lina.
