Plot Synopsis

Produced by Chipotle Mexican Grill, FARMED AND DANGEROUS is a four-episode comedy that satirizes the lengths to which a corporate agribusiness, fictional industrial giant Animoil, and its image-makers go to create a positive image of industrial agriculture. Animoil has created PetroPellet, a new petroleum-based animal feed, that promises to reduce industrial agriculture's dependence on oil by eliminating the need to grow, irrigate, fertilize and transport the vast amount of feed needed to raise livestock on factory farms. Before its new feed formula can forever reshape industrial agriculture, Animoil's plans go awry when a revealing security video goes viral sending Animoil and their spin master, Buck Marshall of the Industrial Food Image Bureau (IFIB), into damage control mode. Buck is the head of IFIB, where this gun-collecting businessman makes his clients' troubles disappear. He works with his daughter, Sophia, a new employee and PR whiz at IFIB, who is very good at getting what she wants. Buck's main client, Mick, run Animoil, using morally ambigous attempts to engineer cheaper food and higher profits. Mick's son, Zack, works with his dad at Animoil and is Sophia's boyfriend. Working against Buck and Mick, Chip leads the small, but dedicated, Sustainable Family Farming Association, and uses grassroots publicity to help his cause.
