Plot Synopsis

As a member of New Kids on the Block, Jonathan Knight spent years performing top hits around the world. Once he settled back home in New England, he indulged his passion for home renovation. More than 20 years later -- and after more than 200 home renos -- he's an expert renovator whose talents are showcased in FARMHOUSE FIXER. In this series, Jonathan and his designer, Kristina Crestin, take viewers step-by-step through the process of restoring a centuries-old New England farmhouse. "Old farmhouses are American treasures," said Jonathan. "Most have been in the same family for 200 years and have never been renovated. And they're disappearing fast. If we don't save them, they're going to be gone." In the series opener, Knight must preserve the history of a 280-year-old farmhouse while also making it feasible for modern living. When he learns that part of the foundation is beyond saving, he makes the shocking proposition to the owners to tear down half of the home.

Season 2 of FARMHOUSE FIXER premiered on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at 9pm ET/PT on HGTV. The new episodes continue to follow Jonathan and designer Kristina, as they renovate old properties into exquisite modern homes, all while keeping the original charm. This season, multiple HGTV stars appear, including Lyndsay Lamb & Leslie Davis, Jenny Marrs, and Mike Lemieux. In addition, Jonathan offers his expertise to TLC stars Bill Klein and Jennifer Arnold from THE LITTLE COUPLE, as they look for a farmhouse in New England.

In the season opener, "Sight Unseen," a Los Angeles family buys a 1798 farmhouse sight unseen in New Hampshire, needing Jonathan to transform the cramped, mismatched house before they arrive. Undaunted by the long-distance renovation, Jonathan will step in to make the ramshackle old house into a gorgeous family home. Jonathan and Kristina transform the dark home into a vibrant space with a bright-white kitchen, a bathroom they can fit in and a Santa Monica inspired chicken coop.
