Plot Synopsis

By working with therapists, nutritionists and trainers during their four-month journeys, overweight, professional chefs lose weight, improve their fitness, and confront their issues with food -- all without leaving their jobs. Each 60-minute episode highlights the struggles and triumphs of two chefs, as they reassess their relationships to food so they can maintain healthy lifestyles while working long, stressful hours with the constant temptation of their calorie-enriched jobs. The chefs, caterers and restaurant owners of FAT CHEF include: Michael Mignano; Melba Wilson; Jen Lamplough; John Ricco; Maggie Latos; Ally Vitella; Michael Digby; Jeff Kochman; Kim Gibson; Chelsie Williams; Dimitri Verteouris; and Rocco Whalen. Plus, these fat chefs work with former BIGGEST LOSER coach Brett Hoebel, nutritionist/health consultant Christine Avanti, and trainers Robert Brace, Christina Goetz and Nick Orlando.
