Plot Synopsis

Executive produced by Dwayne Johnson, FINDING JUSTICE is a one-hour docuseries tells the powerful stories of heroes, leaders, advocates and change agents in African American communities across America as they uncover injustices and fight to bring healing and change. Each 60-minute episode focuses on a different, appalling injustice afflicting the Black community in a specific city. The show goes beyond exploring the devastation caused by racial injustice and follows real-life journeys toward change. Along the way, FINDING JUSTICE introduces an inspiring team of heroes -- ranging from deeply rooted celebrities to activists, journalists, legal experts, and innovators -- each dedicated to changing communities, cities, and lives. FINDING JUSTICE premiered Sunday, March 10, 2019 at 8pm ET/PT on BET. The series opener, "Stand Your Ground," focuses on yet another tragic killing of an unarmed Black person in Florida, after which activists battle to change the controversial Stand Your Ground law.
