Plot Synopsis

THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT MURDERS is a four-episode documentary series that explores the murders of four flight attendants in the 1970s and 1980s in Texas. Their names are Jeannie, Cheryl, Beverley and Jeeta. All four women worked for the same airline and their murders bear striking similarities. While one man, convicted rapist Jonathan Reed, was found guilty of the first murder, three other murders took place while he was in prison. Was the wrong man behind bars? And will the victims' families ever get justice? Set against a backdrop of archival footage uncovering the golden age of American air travel, the series explores how the women were living at a time of new found freedoms, aspiration and glamour while also revealing how airlines used their female employees sexuality as a major selling point that had potentially far reaching impact. THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT MURDERS made its U.S. debut on Thursday, November 23, 2023 on SundanceNow, which released all four episodes:

Episode 1: The first victim, Jeannie, is introduced through the testimony of friends and family.

Episode 2: There are two new victims and the series introduces Jonathan Reed, the man found guilty of the first murder.

Episode 3: Cold-case investigators examine attendant Jeeta's death. Will Jon Reed be exonerated?

Episode 4: The series reveals the verdict in the re-trial of Jon Reed and provides answers for grieving families.
