Plot Synopsis

FOOD PARADISE travels across the United States, compiling the country's must-see food spots that offer unique dining experiences. Each 60-minute episode focuses on a different food theme -- BBQ, hamburgers, all-you-can-eat, pizza, drive thru, and more -- serving up hefty plates of the country's tastiest, most mouth-watering and decadent meals. Travel Channel first aired a sneak-peek episode on Monday, December 17, 2007, two months before the official series premiere on Wednesday, February 27, 2008. FOOD PARADISE returned for its fifth season on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at 10pm ET/PT on Travel Channel. In the season opener, "BBQ Paradise 3," the program finds America's tastiest BBQ, including beef ribs in Austin, TX, smoky chicken baptized in a tangy white sauce in Alabama and a melt-in-your-mouth smoked brisket in Houston, TX. Subsequent episodes in Season 6 feature juicy burgers in Chicago, dangerously spicy wings in Seattle, deep-fried calzones in North Carolina, giant burritos in San Diego, and more. Travel Channel broadcast the summer premiere of FOOD PARADISE on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at 9pm ET/PT. This new episode, "Seafood Paradise 2," highlights America's most sizzling seafood, including cheesy charbroiled oysters dipped in buttery goodness in New Orleans, fresh beer battered grouper in Florida, and lobsters marinated in sweet garlic and white wine in Boston. On Sunday, May 21, 2017 at 8pm ET/PT, Travel Channel premiered a new season of FOOD PARADISE. In the season opener, "Lay It on Thick," from lobster smothered in melted Monterey Jack cheese to s'mores with gooey handmade marshmallows drenched in chocolate, this coast-to-coast tour finds the most indulgent, thickly coated culinary creations ever made. Season 6 of FOOD PARADISE premiered on Sunday, August 27, 2017 from 8-10pm ET/PT, as Travel Channel debuted back-to-back new episodes. In the season opener, "Big Easy Eats," The Big Easy has long been a favorite destination for Food Paradise, so why not devote a whole episode to New Orleans? From Cajun and Creole classics like hot jazz snacks and bayou-fresh catfish to the famous Sno-Blizz, we're trying them all! Then, in the night's second new episode (9pm), "Route 66," viewers can eat their way across America as Food Paradise goes on a Route 66 road trip from Chicago to Southern California. The delicious stops include authentic St. Louis BBQ Ribs in Missouri, the iconic Oklahoma Onion Burger and custom-built milk shakes in Albuquerque, NM. A new season of FOOD PARADISE premiered on Sunday, June 3, 2018 from 8-10pm ET/PT, as Travel Channel debuted back-to-back new episodes. After a two-month break, FOOD PARADISE returned with new episodes on a new night and time -- Tuesdays from 10pm-Midnight ET/PT -- on Travel Channel on Tuesday, August 28, 2018.

Season 16 of FOOD PARADISE premiered on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 10pm ET/7pm PT on Cooking Channel. In the season opener, "Epic Eats," eye-popping portions and belly-filling bounties of food make these eats totally epic! A seven-meat sandwich, a 2-foot-tall nacho tower, mountainous sundaes, a stuffed turkey leg and huge seafood platters make up the best of the biggest.
