Plot Synopsis

Experts reveal the fun facts, history, and trivia behind iconic food classics, topped off with a team of tasters sampling some unique, modern spins on these favorites. Featuring commentary from Cooking Channel stars, each half-hour episode of FOOD'S GREATEST HITS focuses on a different theme while featuring three dishes. In the series premiere, "Super Cheesy," experts highlight macaroni and cheese, grilled cheese sandwiches and cheesecake. Subsequent episodes include: Carnival Treats (corn dogs, loaded fries and funnel cake); Sugar Rush (ice cream sundaes, cupcakes and chocolate chip cookies); Diner Delights (burgers, club sandwiches and milkshakes); Fiesta Time (tacos, nachos and enchiladas); Early Morning Eats (bacon, pancakes and eggs Benedict); and many more topics like Campfire Classics, Game-Day Grub, Super Sandwiches and BBQ Favorites.

On Monday, August 22, 2016 from 10-11pm ET/7-8pm PT, Cooking Channel premiered the season finale of FOOD'S GREATEST HITS. The night's first new episode (10pm), "Get Stuffed," features burritos, ravioli and stuffed donuts. Then, the season finale (10:30pm), "Campfire Classics," highlights hot dogs, potato chips, and ooey gooey s'mores.
