Plot Synopsis

Just as new police chief Gaspard Decker arrives in the close-knit village of Montfaucon, a 16-year-old girl vanishes in the nearby Ardennes Forest, and local police and a concerned teacher begin to uncover a web of unsettling secrets. Capt. Decker questions Maya, stoking tensions at the station. A grim discovery in the woods and two more disappearances put the town on edge. The police follow a tip to an internet cafe frequented by the three girls. After uncovering a clue to her past, Eve seeks out Manoa for information. Reeling from another bombshell, Virginie struggles to keep her emotions in check on the job. The team tracks down a man who had contact with Maya. This series, which aired with the title LA FORET in Belgium and France, had its U.S. premiere on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Netflix released all six episodes with a new title: THE FOREST.
