Plot Synopsis

Each one-hour episode of FORGED IN FIRE: BEAT THE JUDGES features three FORGED IN FIRE champions returning to the forge for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity: to square off against one of the FORGED IN FIRE judges. The challenges require higher skillsets and there are more tests to pass. First, the smiths must prove they have what it takes to challenge an icon by beating each other in a series of win-or-go-home forging challenges. The remaining two smiths then compete with one of the Judges to create a fully functioning blade that is evaluated and tested. If the challenger can find a way to prevail against the Judge in a bladesmithing showdown, they walk away with $10,000 and eternal bragging rights. In the series opener, "Short Sword Damascus," three champions return to the forge hoping to defeat one of our three judges: Ben Abbott, Dave Baker, or J Neilson. But first they have to face off against each other. After forging signature blades and a Khanda, one champion survives to enter their toughest challenge yet, competing against a judge. Tasked with making a short sword with just 8 hours on the clock, will the champion prove they have what it takes to beat the Judges?

On Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at 9pm ET/PT, History Channel premiered "Rock Star Smiths," the season finale of FORGED IN FIRE: BEAT THE JUDGES. Three FORGED IN FIRE champions return to the forge looking to defeat one of the judges. In this musically themed competition, the smiths have to slash through level one to have a chance to rock out a 9-Ringed Broadsword in their home forges. After one champion lands at the top of the charts, they head into a face melting showdown with one of the judges. Will the champion beat the judge and win $10,000?
