Plot Synopsis

In 1960s Madrid, music producer Guillermo Rojas launches Futura, a rock 'n' roll label, with the help of aspiring singer Robert and his assistant (and clever producer) Maribel. Robert auditions for a license to perform professionally, but Guillermo's past interferes. Maribel learns her new friend's devastating secret. When Guillermo struggles to find a studio to record Robert's new single, Maribel comes to the rescue with an unorthodox idea. Maribel and Robert start to feel a deeper connection just as the singer's career begins to take off. Guillermo's past mistakes catch up with him. On Friday, August 16, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix aired the U.S. premiere of the entire 13-episode first season of 45 RPM.
