Plot Synopsis

Unsuspecting people join a routine search and end up looking for legendary beasts, but they don't realize that the investigation is fake, the experts are actors and the "monster" isn't real. In search of horror-ific payback, friends and family members nominate somebody to appear on the program. These nominees believe they are part of a routine investigation involving the world's most unexplained creatures -- bloodthirsty werewolves, vicious swamp monsters, terrifying giant spiders and angry alien hybrids -- but they're really just part of a meticulously planned set-up with an ensemble cast of improv actors and carefully placed clues. The routine investigation escalates until the "mark" becomes trapped in a series of increasingly wild and scary moments, all building to a full-on monster encounter.
