Plot Synopsis

FUNNY GIRLS is a half-hour comedy series that follows Laura and Rose, as they attempt to create a comedy show while dealing with pressures of the misguided opinions of male executives and a befuddled producer. The series opens in a board room of men, where Rose questions the show's title; on set Laura and Rose find that the production value on the show is not what they hoped for and discover why: the inept producer, Pauline, who has hired her teenage daughter as the boom operator and a kids facepainter as a makeup artist.
