Tasha faces a personal life-changing moment that leaves her reeling, while Malik struggles to overcome a potential career-ending injury. And the newbies, Keira and Blue, continue to make rookie mistakes on and off the field. In the seventh season finale, Tasha unexpectedly gives birth early on the day of Jason and Chardonnay's vow renewal service; Meanwhile, Chardonnay does her best to keep her wedding vow renewal ceremony on track. Plus, Blue and Keira and Malik and Yana get into a crazy situation.

On Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 10pm ET/PT, BET premiered the eighth season of THE GAME. After the Season 7 cliffhanger, the new season kicks off with Jason apologizing for refusing Chardonnay at the altar, as he tries to reconcile with his ex-wife Kelly. Jason also faces new pressures, as he assumes the role of interim-coach of the Sabers. Meanwhile, Tasha Mack re-enters life as a single mother, while Malik struggles for visibility from the bottom tier of the team. On Thursday, May 13, 2021 Paramount+ announced that its revival of THE GAME has been ordered to series (10 episodes) with original cast members Wendy Raquel Robinson and Hosea Chanchez reprising their roles as sports agent Tasha Mack and footballer Malik Wright, respectively, with several other legacy cast members making special appearances. The half-hour series will be executive produced by original show creator Mara Brock Akil, showrunner and writer Devon Greggory, Salim Akil and original executive producer Kelsey Grammer and Tom Russo of Grammnet NH Productions. Relocating from San Diego to Sin City, THE GAME returns with a mix of original cast and new players to offer a modern-day examination of Black culture through the prism of pro football. The team will tackle racism, sexism, classism and more as they fight for fame, fortune, respect and love -- all while trying to maintain their souls as they each play THE GAME. "Fifteen years ago I created THE GAME and am so proud of the success we had, and that I was able to create characters and stories that resonated with so many people," stated Mara Brock Akil. "I couldn't be happier about leaving my beloved characters like Tasha Mack and Malik Wright in the hands of Devon, Wendy and Hosea, who I know will build off of the rich foundation the show has."
