Plot Synopsis

Ryan Lopez, a member of one of the most powerful Latino gangs in San Francisco, has infiltrated the San Francisco Police Department, but as he rapidly rises through the SFPD ranks, he must balance his loyalty to his new family, the SFPD Gang Task Force, and his original family, Los Angelicos. When Ryan's best friend and police partner is senselessly killed by a notorious gang member, Ryan teams up with longtime Task Force member Cassius, who grew up on the tough streets of Oakland and has been at the forefront of the city's war on organized crime. On the Gang Task Force, Ryan also works with: Tae Kim, an FBI gang specialist, who considers Ryan's tactics dangerous and wasteful; Detective Dotsen, the youngest and wildest member of the crew; and Sam Chapel, the dynamic police chief, who oversees the group and is a father figure to Ryan. Outside the SFPD, Ryan maintains contact with Daniel Acosta, his childhood best friend, gang lord and son of Javier. Javier, also a father figure to Ryan, is the man who runs Los Angelicos and who masterminded Ryan's original entry into the police force. Now, while balancing two allegiances, two father figures and two families, Ryan's increasing sense of loyalty to one will help him finally determine which side of the law he is really on. Fox aired the Season 1 finale of GANG RELATED on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT. In the season ender, "Malandros," Chapel goes rogue to find a killer, leading his team into Mexico to find Matias, who he believes is responsible for a heinous murder. Plus, Daniel uses his wedding to finalize a deal between Javier (guest star Cliff Curtis) and Lavar Quintel (guest star Ray Campbell).
