Plot Synopsis

This 3D-CGI/HD animated series is timed to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Garfield -- that endearing, fat, lazy and cynical orange tabby cat who first appeared in newspaper comic strips on June 19, 1978. Garfield was born in the kitchen of an Italian restaurant, which explains his cravings for lasagna. When the restaurant's owner had to decide between Garfield and closing the doors to his restaurant, there wasn't much of a choice. Garfield was sold to a pet store, where his current owner, Jon Arbuckle, found him. Jon is a cartoonist who is a decent man, but he's dull and tragically unhip. He is usually at the mercy of his pets and spends his time waiting for his soulmate. Jon's other pet, Odie, is an untintelligent and slobbery beagle-like dog who is Garfield's best friend.
