Plot Synopsis

This documentary traces the development of industrial design -- from its infancy and the early design of cast-iron cooking pots through the early 1900s with the Model T Ford, the war machines of World War II, the effects of plastics in the 1960s and 1970s, and finally ending with the creativity of the late 1980s and early 1990s.
