Plot Synopsis

GIRLFRIENDS CHECK IN is a six-episode series that features four different female celebrity friends each week, as they check in with each other in a virtual chat room, where they spill the tea about their relationships, their families, share new recipes, and remind viewers that we are truly all in this together. Episodes include:

May 16 (Girlfriends: Tamela Mann, Yolanda Adams, Erica Campbell, Tasha Cobbs Leonard): Queens of gospel share their secrets to keeping romance alive, how to maintain beauty while in lockdown, a funny gospel twist to nursey rhymes, and keeping the kids in check.

May 23 (Girlfriends: Loni Love, Tami Roman, B. Simone, Robbi Rogers): Talk show host Loni Love gathers her girlfriends for a fun night of cocktails and conversation surrounding fashion, hair and being overworked during lockdown. Hidden abilities are also revealed in a fun, impromptu talent show

May 30 (Girlfriends: Carla Hall, Anika Noni Rose, Kim Fields, Lisa Silvera): Celebrity chef Carla Hall rounds up her crew in different cities to swap recipes, inspiration and compassion during a time when the outside world is off limits.

June 6 (Girlfriends: Meagan Good, La'Myia Good Bellinger, Tasha Smith, Grace Byers, with guest appearances by DeVon Franklin, Trai Byers & Eric Bellinger): Meagan Good catches up with her sister and friends to talk beauty regimens and staying faith centered during uncertain times, with surprise pop-ins from the husbands.

June 13 (Girlfriends: Tika Sumpter, Ryan Michelle Bathe, Susan Kelechi Watson, Thai Randolph): Tika and Susan bring their girlfriends together from coast to coast to chat about motherhood, career and life balance, as they share beauty secrets and how-to tips on staying relaxed during quarantine.

June 20 (Girlfriends: Tisha Campbell, Kym Whitley, Holly Robinson Peete, AJ Johnson): Tisha and her gal pals dish on men, dating, loving yourself and raising your family in a hilarious girls night in you don't want to miss.

July 11 (Girlfriends: Kym Whitley, Luenell, Jess Hilarious, Wendy Raquel Robinson): Kym gathers her girlfriends for a hilarious night of cocktails, illuminating shop talk, secrets, and fun antics.

July 18 (Girlfriends: MC Lyte, Yo-Yo, Remy Ma, Dr. Lynn Richardson): The ladies offer up free styles, money-making tips; spending time with Remy's golden child.

July 25 (Girlfriends: Kierra Sheard, Nikki, Dorinda Clark Cole, Karen Sheard): It's a family reunion and gospel nursery rhyme challenge for Kierra Sheard, her cousin Nikki and the famous Clark Sisters.

August 1 (Girlfriends: Naturi Naughton, Lala Anthony, Bresha Webb, Melissa Folkes): The ladies are serving up exotic cocktails, a homemade avocado hair mask, and a surprise bridal shower. Plus, things get hot when the ladies play a game of "Dirty Minds."

August 8 (Girlfriends: Lynn Whitfield, Tina Lawson, Beverly Johnson, Vanessa Bell Calloway): A special Sexy, Sixties & Savage episode reveals the beauty regimens that keeps them looking young while talking love, family and politics.

August 15 (Girlfriends: LeToya Luckett, Keri Hilson, Toya Johnson, Eudoxie Bridges): LeToya and her girlfriends come together for a night of laughter, games and cocktails with a piping hot cup of tea.

August 22 (Girlfriends: June Ambrose, Deborah Cox, Angelica Ross, Vanessa Spencer): June invites her girlfriends to chat it up about all things fashion, beauty and activism. A one-minute glam makeover and a lesson on how to vogue make it a night of culture and fun.

August 29 (Girlfriends: Melody Holt, Kimmi Scott, LaTisha Scott, Destiny Payton-Williams): Melody Holt and the ladies of LOVE & MARRIAGE: HUNTSVILLE get together for a saucy episode, as they show up and show out, while catching up and having some much needed fun.
