Plot Synopsis

After leaving the Gatsby Salon featured in JERSEYLICIOUS, Alexa Prisco established The Glam Factory, where she and her team take on new clients while using her signature New Jersey style to transform women with hot new looks for all kinds of special occasions. Alexa performs life-altering makeovers like these: a Latina Christian Pop group's more mainstream stage look; a classy image for a beauty school drop-out and bride-to-be; a brand new look for a fitness instructor's new workout video; a more cohesive and polished look for drag show performers for an important audition; and plus size models who need to look glamorous for an upcoming ad campaign for a local boutique. The series also documents all the behind-the-scenes drama as Alexa balances her ever-expanding business with her personal life, which included a budding new romance in Season 1 evolving into her engagement to her now-fiance Danny. Now, in Season 2 after Danny broke down her emotional barriers, her life is the polar opposite of where she once thought it would be. Plus, she manages her team of "fairies," which included the following people in Season 1: Briella, a master at doing hair, is a Jersey girl who attracts conflict as she yearns for a more balanced life through yoga or the latest healing movement; Jon, the client liaison, is Alexa's bestie for nine years and constantly finds ways to maintain the delicate balance between their friendship and work relationship while fighting off Glamo, who Jon perceives as competition for his position; Jessica, the "Ditzy Fairy," would be be truly dangerous if she were just a few IQ points higher -- but give this girl the right eye shadow and she can change the world; Sharie, a master hairstylist, can do everything -- color, cuts, treatments, extensions and blow outs -- and gets frustrated with young stylists who know how to do only one thing; Alexa (aka: A2), Alexa's assistant, is a recent high-school graduate who is obsessed with her boss and is confident that she will be a flourishing fairy in no time; and Glamo, the resident stylist, is a fashion image consultant with his own business who is also a runway coach for a modeling agency, where he teaches some of the world's top models how to strut their stuff in fashion week. In Season 2, Alexa recruits fashion photographer Karl Giant and make-up artist Victoria Doroshenko as new Fairies to attract more business. Plus, Alexa replaces A2 with a new assistant, Kyrzayda Rodriguez, who is a single mom and a spectacular party planner. Finally, Glamo dos not return for a second season because he "had to move on," according to his Twitter feed. The Style Network first aired GLAM FAIRY as a one-hour special on Sunday, January 30, 2011 at 10pm ET.
