Plot Synopsis

THE GLOAMING is an eight-episode supernatural thriller that centers on two detectives, Molly McGee and Alex O'Connell, who share a tragic past. When a woman is found brutally killed, the clues surrounding her death connect to murders both past and present. Political corruption and shady business dealings are soon entwined with sinister crimes and occult practices. In a harrowing journey to find the truth, Alex and Molly's fate is coerced by the ghosts of the unsettled dead that linger in the liminal space between life and death -- known as "The Gloaming." THE GLOAMING had its U.S. premiere on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at 9pm ET/PT on Starz, before moving to its regular timeslot -- Sundays at 8pm -- the following week, through April 25. On Sunday, May 9, 2021 at 10pm ET/PT, Starz premiered "The Night of the Mothers," the finale of THE GLOAMING. The investigation reaches its conclusion when Molly is taken hostage and Alex is captured.
