Plot Synopsis

Set in Los Angeles in the 1980s and inspired by the real story of a female wrestling league, GLOW is a half-hour comedy series that centers on a fictionalized crew of misfits, who reinvent themselves as the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling. Desperate to jump-start her career, struggling actress Ruth Wilder heads to a casting call at an LA gym -- and quickly realizes it's not a typical audition. Once the final group is selected, Cherry tries to whip them into shape, while Sam sets out in pursuit of a star for his show. Ruth acts out an uncomfortable scene. Then, Sam's flashy young producer drops in and whisks the girls off to Malibu to party, but artistic differences soon threaten to spoil the fun. On Friday, June 23, 2017 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released the entire 10-episode first season of GLOW.

Season 2 follows the women of GLOW as they become local celebrities, confronting the good, the bad, and the ugly realities of their newfound fame. As Ruth and Debbie settle into the day-to-day of making a season of TV together, they confront lingering issues at the heart of their friendship. Sam is still Sam, but now he has a teenage daughter living with him and twenty episodes to churn out. The wrestling is harder, the stakes are higher, and the hair is even bigger. The season opens with nerves running high as the ladies return to work and meet a new cast member. To boost morale, Ruth takes the gang on a raucous outing to the mall. On Friday, June 29, 2018 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released the 10-episode second season of GLOW.

Netflix premieres the 10-episode third season of GLOW on Friday, August 9, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT. The third season follows the ladies of GLOW as they take the Vegas strip by storm. Now headliners at the Fan-Tan Hotel and Casino, the women quickly realize Sin City is much more grind than glitter. Ever the team cheerleader, Ruth's passion for the show begins to take a backseat to her growingly complicated personal life. Debbie is making headway as a producer, but continues to be consumed with guilt over the distance between her and her son. As their residency wears on, the lines blur between performance and reality, and the cast find themselves struggling with their own identities both in and outside of the ring. Geena Davis guest stars as Sandy Devereaux St. Clair, the former showgirl turned entertainment director of the Fan-Tan Hotel and Casino.
