Plot Synopsis

Based on Kotaro Isaka's book of the same name, GOODBYE EARTH is a 12-episode sci-fi drama series that explores a world facing its end in 200 days by a catastrophic asteroid strike. The once-peaceful city of Woongcheon is now turned upside down by a chilling emergency siren and news of an impending asteroid strike. With the Korean peninsula identified as a danger zone, the society descends into madness with protests, crime, and impersonating soldiers running rampant. Amid the chaos, the series follows three key characters: Se-kyung, a middle school teacher, fights tooth and nail to protect children who have become targets of crime, facing the harsh reality that they will never get to grow up; Sung-jae, a priest, offers comfort to his shaken community; and In-a, a battalion commander, works tirelessly to maintain peace and safeguard people during these challenging times. All 12 episodes of GOODBYE EARTH dropped on Friday, April 26, 2024 on Netflix.
