Plot Synopsis

GORTIMER GIBBON'S LIFE ON NORMAL STREET is a half-hour sitcom that follows 13-year-old Gortimer Gibbon, who narrates the adventures he has with his best friends, Mel and Ranger. All three besties live on Normal Street, which turns out to be one strange block, as they face their fears about a scary old woman living down the street; find a way to set things straight before a wave of misfortune threatens their street's annual Road Rocket Race; try to restore Gortimer's voice, stolen by a mysterious figure driving a ghostly bookmobile that appears on Normal Street for only one day each year; seek help from an incredibly chipper but incredibly memory-impaired neighbor when Gortimer learns a piece of information he would rather forget; and embark on many more mystical adventures together. Amazon released the pilot of this series on Thursday, February 6, 2014, nearly ten months before the official series premiere when the streaming service launched five additional episodes on Friday, November 21, 2014. Season 2 of GORTIMER GIBBON'S LIFE ON NORMAL STREET premiered on Friday, October 31, 2015, as Amazon released 13 new episodes. In the season opener, "Gortimer and the Blazer of Glory," Gortimer gets a blazer that makes everyone see him as an adult. It changes the way he sees himself too and threatens his friends' plans for an epic water balloon battle.

The second part of Season 2 premiered on Friday, July 15, 2016 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Amazon released 13 additional episodes. As the series comes to a close, Gortimer, Mel and Ranger grow closer than ever, even as growing up threatens to pull them apart. Their adventures on Normal Street continue as Mel learns the consequences of overextending herself, Ranger takes on other people's problems while ignoring his own, and Gortimer grapples with the greatest challenge of all: leaving Normal street.
