Plot Synopsis

This dark comedy follows two star-crossed lovers, Lily Champagne and Robert Collingsworth, as they learn to live and love again in New York City while they attend the same court-ordered support group after they both tried to commit suicide. Robert is an ophthalmologist who is despondent after losing his wife to cancer, and he becomes an internet celebrity when his suicide attempt goes comically awry. Lily is a twenty-something clinically depressed outcast looking for the love that her father never gave her, and she seems to have Miller, an NYPD cop, trailing her. Their support group is led by Dogg McFee, a former Major League Baseball player who is now confined to a wheelchair. Shawna Rollins, another member of the group, is a former spokesmodel and current life coach with a penchant for much younger guys. In each episode, the series focuses on the suicide attempt of one character and the events surrounding that attempt.
