Plot Synopsis

In each season of THE GREAT POTTERY THROW DOWN, 10 home potters from around the country head to Stoke-on-Trent, the home of pottery, where they compete to become Top Potter. At the conclusion of each episode, one potter faces elimination after the judge's scrutiny and review for the chance to become Potter of the Week. THE GREAT POTTERY THROW DOWN had its U.S. premiere on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as HBO Max released the first three seasons.

Season 4 of THE GREAT POTTERY THROW DOWN made its U.S. debut on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as HBO Max released the entire 10-episode new season. Returning judge Brymer Jones is joined by new host Siobhan McSweeney and new co-judge Richard Miller, who was the show's kiln man for the first three seasons. Season 4 combines the talents of 12 of the country's best home potters with the drama of the process of making ceramics. From the precariousness of firing, to the wondrous alchemy of glazes, each week the potters take on different pottery challenges; they make a cheese set, garden water feature, a sink, naked Raku vases, as well as mini at-the-wheel challenges against the clock.
