Plot Synopsis

Hosted and executive produced by Cedric the Entertainer, THE GREATEST #ATHOME VIDEOS is a one-hour series that celebrates the latest viral home videos that reflect the creativity, humor and humanity that have emerged from our shared experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic. All programs are filmed with minimal crews practicing social distancing and are produced with extensive safety precautions in place.

On Friday, May 15, 2020 at 8pm ET/PT, CBS debuted THE GREATEST #STAYATHOME VIDEOS as a one-hour special, also hosted by Cedric the Entertainer, which featured video moments created during our communal quarantine.

Two months later, THE GREATEST #STAYATHOME VIDEOS returned for a series of four episodes on Fridays at 8pm ET/PT, beginning July 24 and continuing through August 14. In the first of these four episodes, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Tracee Ellis Ross, Luke Bryan and Kylie Jenner appear in fun viral moments, while Motown legend Smokey Robinson and pro skater Tony Hawk make surprise appearances.

After a six-week break, THE GREATEST #STAYATHOME VIDEOS returned with new episodes on Friday, September 25, 2020 at 8pm ET/PT on CBS. In the fall premiere, "School & Sports Are Back!," rapper MC Hammer "zooms" in to surprise an Alabama high school principal who created a video based on the singer's hit song, "U Can't Touch This."

Season 2 of THE GREATEST #ATHOME VIDEOS premiered on Friday, August 20, 2021 at 9pm ET/PT on CBS. Hosted again by Cedric the Entertainer, the second season showcases an evolution of the series, featuring new video categories that reflect the world as it continues to reopen, as well as numerous celebrity appearances. In the season opener, "Let Paula Be the Judge," singer and choreographer Paula Abdul joins host Cedric the Entertainer to surprise a shy college-bound babysitter, who went viral thanks to a covert video capturing her stellar singing voice.


On Friday, December 17, 2021 from 8-10pm ET/PT, CBS premiered two holiday editions of THE GREATEST #ATHOME VIDEOS:

"'Tis the Season to Share Videos" (8pm): Just in time for the holidays, NCIS: LOS ANGELES star Daniela Ruah gifts host Cedric the Entertainer her favorite heartwarming videos, featuring military personnel reuniting with their families. Also, Paula Abdul rocks a special holiday TikTok.

"Home Videos for the Holidays" (9pm): Anthony Anderson joins host Cedric the Entertainer to spread holiday cheer with his favorite viral dancing videos. Also, basketball legend Shaquille O'Neal scores with a surprise Zoom.


"The Greatest @Home Videos: Thanks & Giving," a one-hour holiday special, debuted on Friday, November 11, 2022 at 8pm ET/PT on CBS. Country music superstar Luke Bryan joins host Cedric the Entertainer to help surprise some homegrown heroes who went viral risking their lives during Hurricane Ian. Also, Cedric shares his favorite fall videos filled with food, football, family, furry friends and more.

On Friday, December 16, 2022 at 9pm ET/PT, CBS premiered "Holiday Special," a new Christmas edition of THE GREATEST #ATHOME VIDEOS. Santa Claus comes to town for a very merry visit as host Cedric the Entertainer unwraps fun and festive videos, including his personal favorite 12 Videos of Christmas.

CBS premiered "The Cedys," a special edition of THE GREATEST @HOME VIDEOS, on Friday, February 27, 2023 at 8pm ET/PT. Cedric the Entertainer hosts the inaugural Cedy Awards, where he recognizes some of the glitziest, funniest and most heartwarming videos that have set the internet on fire and shines a special spotlight on the ones that are absolute. As part of the awards show spectacular, Cedric will select his top two favorite videos and then viewers will be able to vote live to crown the #1 video of the year. Cedric also has a few surprises up his sleeve, including one for a baseball-loving grandson-grandpa duo who share a very special connection. (To vote, viewers can scan a QR code that will appear on their screen. Voting will be open for viewers in East Coast/Central time zones.)

On Friday, June 2, 2023 at 8pm ET/PT, CBS debuted a new installment of THE GREATEST @HOME VIDEOS. Cedric the Entertainer is back with a new batch of humorous and heartwarming summertime videos, from funny dads to goofy grads.

THE GREATEST @HOME VIDEOS returned with a new holiday special on Friday, November 24, 2023 at 8pm ET/PT on CBS. Cedric the Entertainer jingles all the way into the holiday season as he puts up his lights, decorates his tree and showcases a sweet assortment of videos featuring awesome holiday cheer, unbelievable creativity and a "sled" full of hilarious moments uncovered by his team of video-seeking "Elves." While he's hard at work, Cedric receives a very merry visit from a very stylish Santa Claus, Emmy Award-winning actor and comedian JB Smoove.

On Friday, January 5, 2024 at 8pm ET/PT, CBS premiered the The 2nd Annual Cedy Awards, a new one-hour GREATEST @HOME VIDEOS special. Cedric the Entertainer kicks off awards season as he hosts the second annual Cedy Awards, where he shines a spotlight on the best of the best in viral videos from around the world. As part of the award show spectacular, Cedric will select his top two favorite videos and then viewers at home will be able to vote live to crown the #1 video of the year*. To wrap up the show, Max Greenfield, Cedric's THE NEIGHBORHOOD co-star, stops by to play the role of "verifier of the results of stuff" from the "Consulting Firm of Greenfield & Greenfield" to authenticate the results of the vote and deliver the coveted Golden Cedy.
