Plot Synopsis

Football analyst and former coach Jon Gruden sits down with college quarterback prospects who are entering the NFL draft, and he evaluates what each player must do to excel in professional football. Each 30-minute episode focuses on a single player, including the following QBs in the first season: Cam Newton; Blaine Gabbert; Jake Locker; Andy Dalton; and Ryan Mallett. Clips from those episodes were combined for a one-hour special that aired on ESPN later in April. Season 3, which debuted on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 7pm ET on ESPN2, featured Gruden talking with nine quarterbacks -- Geno Smith, Matt Barkley, Tyler Wilson, Landry Jones, Ryan Nassib, EJ Manuel, Tyler Bray, Zac Dysert, and Mike Glennon and episodes with non-quarterbacks like RB Marcus Lattimore, OT Luke Joeckel, and LB Manti Te'o, who appeared in the season premiere. GRUDEN'S QB CAMP returned for its fifth season on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 7pm ET/4pm PT on ESPN, a one-hour program featuring Johnny Manziel, the 2012 Heisman Trophy-winning Texas A&M quarterback and projected first-round pick, who participated in a one-on-one film session and on-field workout with Gruden last month at ESPN's Wide World of Sports Complex outside Orlando. Other participants in Season 5 include these eight quarterbacks: Blake Bortles; Tajh Boyd; Teddy Bridgewater; Derek Carr; Jimmy Garoppolo; Jordan Lynch; A.J. McCarron; and Aaron Murray.
Season 6 of GRUDEN'S QB CAMP premiered on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 from 7-8:30pm ET/4-5:30pm PT, as ESPN2 aired three back-to-back new episodes, featuring Marcus Mariota (Oregon), Brett Hundley (UCLA), and Bryce Petty (Baylor). In subsequent episodes, Gruden meets with and evaluates Florida State's Jameis Winston and Colorado State's Garrett Grayson. For the show's sixth season, Gruden welcomed these five quarterbacks to ESPN's Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando where he spent time with each prospect in the film room and on the field.
